Work Shirts Yesterday Adam came home from work with an arm full of shirts. He smiled as he explained that his boss had given out company shirts at their meeting that day. As he showed me his shirts I noticed a pink one in the pile. He picked it up and explained that his boss had also given the wives shirts to spread the companies name. "I hope it fits," Adam said with a nervous smile. I held the shirt up to myself and smiled. "Looks like it will fit fine." I said. Quick tip This post is going to be based off a lecture given by Brandon Sanderson at BYU. I am only going to mention a few things since I want to keep it short but if you are interested in hearing the entire lecture (and more) go to youtube and look up Brandon Sanderson Lectures on Writing. They are great! Okay now to get to the tip. What is writing about? When I was younger I thought I was a pretty good writer with a lot of natural talent (I have since wised up a bit). Now I believe writing is more like singing. Mother's mission impossible. Okay so my mission is not impossible or at least the end mission that is. But it is impossible to keep the Tupperware lids off the floor and remember every door that needs to stay closed. That’s okay though because the end mission (raising a faithful child by loving and teaching her every day) is very possible. This post is a peak into my everyday life with my beautiful daughter Elizabeth and though it would be impossible to mention everything (she is very busy) I will give some highlights that happen nearly every day. I strive to wake at least an hour and a half before she normally wakes up so I can exercise. By the time I am finished with that (normally around 8) she wakes up ready to start the day.
